Alcohol and Heavy Item Delivery Policy

Scope & Summary of Terms

  • This Policy applies to all Orders placed with Mauritian Groceries that include Alcohol and/or Heavy Food and Drink Items.
  • Rule 1 - All Orders with Alcohol Products
    **A delivery charge will be applied regardless of order value , weight or other conditions**
  • Rule 2 — Over 10kg - Heavy Products (Alcohol & Non-Alcohol):
    **If Weight Exceeds 10 kg, it should supersede all offers codes, such as free delivery above £40 will not apply if weight goes above 10kg*    * 

Weight Restrictions and Surcharges

  • Orders with a total weight exceeding ten kilograms (10kg), including Alcohol and/or Food and Drink Items, shall be subject to a Surcharge.
  • Free Delivery and Promotional Offers apply only to Orders with a total weight of 10kg or less.
  • Alcohol purchases with a combined weight not exceeding 10kg shall be included in applicable Offers. Alcohol purchases exceeding 10kg shall incur a Surcharge, for which the Customer shall be notified and payment must be received prior to dispatch.

Territorial Restrictions

  • Alcohol may only be purchased for delivery to addresses within the United Kingdom mainland.
  • Deliveries to Northern Ireland are expressly excluded.

Age and Authorisation

  • The sale of Alcohol is restricted to persons aged eighteen (18) years or over.
  • The Company reserves the right to refuse the sale and/or delivery of Alcohol to any person who is, or appears to be, underage, or who is otherwise unauthorised by law to purchase Alcohol.
  • Proof of age and/or identity may be required upon delivery, and refusal to provide such proof may result in cancellation of the Order without refund.

Compliance with Legislation

  • The sale and delivery of Alcohol by the Company shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003 and any other applicable legislation.
  • The Customer agrees not to purchase Alcohol from Mauritian Groceries for resale, for supply to persons under the age of 18, or for any unlawful purpose.

Summary

  • All Free Delivery Services, Promotional Offers, and Alcohol sales are subject to this Alcohol and Heavy Item Delivery Policy and form part of Mauritian Groceries’ general Terms and Conditions of Sale - see Summary of Terms Above.
